Global sports brand Puma is supporting European School Sport Day with a donation of shoes for school children. More Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) members are set to join them in support.
The Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) has called on its 55 sports brand members to donate sporting goods to school children around Europe in support of the 6th European School Sport Day on 25 September.
Puma is the first big brand to come on board, donating 40 pairs of shoes, and FESI will add to Puma’s pledge by donating other sporting goods previously collected among its members Adidas, Nike and Puma.
“We are delighted that, despite the Covid-19 pandemic hitting the sporting industry hard, sporting goods companies like Puma are still reaching out to support sporting events for children, helping them to #BeActive at this challenging time,” FESI Secretary General Jérôme Pero says.
FESI has also received strong support from its national federations, particularly in Spain and Germany, which have actively shared messages about European School Sport Day through their own membership networks and externally on social media.
FESI invites more sporting goods companies to get in touch – you can contact the federation here.
